In My Mailbox #43

In My Mailbox is hosted by The Story Siren.

Just a couple this week. Next week is my birthday (Wednesday, eep!) and review copies and such are heading off to Tenby now. We won’t be moving until the 11th at the earliest and I’m itching to get there so I can, A. see what’s arrived, and B. read and review them as intended! And, you know, new start. Totally not prioritising books…

  • The Dead Ways by Christopher Edge | Goodreads

Sent for review from Catnip, thank you! I’ve been talking to Mr. Edge on twitter for months and it dawned on me during one of my zombie cravings that I hadn’t read his book? Shall hopefully be getting to this sooner rather than later! Want to see more reviews for it, and it’s nice and short. Sounds fantastic too!

  • Airel (The Airel Saga #1) by Aaron Patterson | Goodreads
  • The Twin Prophecies: Rebirth by Nina Perez | Goodreads

I won Airel from Bookish Brunette which I was totally stoked about. I’ve seen it around a fair bit and it sounds amazing. 🙂 Twin Prophecies is the second book I won from Angel Haze the other week and Nina sent a copy over in the week. They both sound like great reads. And aren’t the covers both equally gorgeous? Shame they’ll be on my Kindle for that reason alone, but can’t wait to read them. Thanks to both authors for sending copies over.

This week I interviewed Matt Hofferth who is also giving away an ecopy of his book, The Binder’s Daughter. I also reviewed it. Check it out, he is wonderful! Always nice to read about lesser-known authors, right?

What did you get this week?

  1. Ooh good luck with the move! Pretend I’m waving a little dragon flag right now in anticipation of welcoming another book blogger to Wales (I am in my heart… unfortunately I don’t have a real tiny flag to hand!). Yay! Hope it all goes smoooothly.

  2. I LOVE zombies and any book relating to them. I haven’t heard of The Dead Ways but you’ve got my interested. Looking up on GR to see what its about and more than likely adding it to the Christmas list. Enjoy!
