Q. Let’s step away from books for a second and get personal. What T-Shirt slogan best describes you?
Okay, first of all, I’ve had this website bookmarked for aages and every now and then they add new ones and I think I want them all. They’re all fantastic. That’s where I found this one:
I am not a Twilight fan. Harry Potter has always been my thing.

Q. Character Envy: If you could be one character from a book, who would you choose & why?
I actually really hate these kinds of questions if I’m honest because when I’m reading a book, I don’t think, “God I wish I could be them!” Possibly when I was a teenager but definitely not now. As I said on Read Me, Bookmark Me, Love Me‘s post a few days ago, the characters in the books I read are having such a miserable time of things – why would I want to be in their shoes? It’s for this reason that the protagonist in The End of Mr. Y actually imagined herself, when reading as a child, as a secondary character because it was harder to get so emotionally invested in them.
But I’m not going to be awkward and go all, “It would never happen so I’m not answering!” I love magic and fantasy, so if I had to choose it’d have to be Hermione Granger because come on, she’s an amazing witch and she doesn’t succeed because she’s destined to or any crap like that, she works hard for what she achieves. That is one fantastic character.
